Shield Resources secures the; harvesting, milling, processing and shipment of Australian timbers from FSC supplier plantations in Australia. Timbers destined for softwood and hardwood manufacturing of furniture and flooring used in overseas markets.
Shield Resources are investing heavily into new milling technologies in South Australia and Queensland coupled with a Biomass Fuel product designed to provide long term sustainable timber products for Australian and international markets.
Shield Resources have invested into their new Rail Freight Intermodal Facility at Bordertown South Australia in partnership with ARTC and Bowmans Rail Services. Offering a new cost effective rail freight solution to Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal for the region.
Bordertown operations are scheduled to commence late 2018. Shield Resources South Australia is focused on softwoods for the overseas furniture and floor markets.
Shield Resources – Queensland
Shield Resources are investing into the Western Downs region of Queensland. Securing hardwoods for the overseas furniture and flooring markets. Hardwoods also designed for use within Shield Formply for the Australian formply market.
