Shield Resources in partnership with Bowmans Rail, ARTC and Flinders Container Port will commence trials of the Shield Intermodal at Bordertown S.A, in February 2019 culminating 18 months of preperations.
Trials will involve: rail stock movements, container movements and loading of timber resources at Bordertown throughout February 2019. Trials are designed to finalise safe working practises and management procedures of the new intermodal at Bordertown S.A.
On conclusion of the trials, Shield Intermodal is expected to become fully operational by March 2019 with one rail movement per week during first three (3) months before expanding to two (2) movements per week.
